Once you have opened NAPA's site, you will want to select the first option - "Newly Licensed" life and health E&O coverage.
Complete the "New Customer Registration" questions. Please note, you will need your state life license number in order to complete this step.
When you come to the section where it asks when you would like your coverage to be effective - you will select the beginning of the current month you are in.
The next screen will prompt you to "Choose Your Plan Type". You will select the "Newly Licensed H&L Agent".
Lastly, on the section "Choose Your Coverage Options", select Option B - this ensures you are able to sell annuities down the road if you wish.
Once you have chosen your payment option, you will be able to download your E&O Certificate. Save this in a safe place.
Now that you have E&O Insurance, locate the email in your inbox labeled "Family First Life (FFL) - Onboarding for New Agent" from Support HCMS. If you cannot find this email, check your spam and junk folders! If you still cannot find it, reach out to your admin.
Select, "Start Onboarding" to fill out required information/verify what is input correctly.
Once the information is input, you will receive another email labeled - "Family First Life (FFL) – Onboarding Completed". Verify the remaining information is correct.
Do not navigate to NLC / begin contracting here just yet, we will come back to this in a moment.
Instead, go back to your email and locate "Family First Life (FFL) – Contracting Process".
Under the email labeled "Family First Life (FFL) – Contracting Process", select the SureLC link.
Create an account on SureLC. Once the account is created, you will receive an email to activate your account. Proceed with the steps in the email.
Once you are officially logged in, complete all tabs with a Red Dot.
When you come to the "Doing Business As" tab, please select Individual agent and proceed to the next tab.
Select the "CE & Training" tab. Click on the Anti-Money Laundering Banner, and select "Start Training". Choose the Surancebay LLC Free AML Training and complete the training. This is a training required by carriers!
Choose whether you would like to access the information online or by downloading the pdf - we suggest the pdf as it is easy to save and re-visit.
You may treat this as an open book test. Use the information from online or the pdf to complete the test. It allows 15 minutes for completion, however, you may finish in less time.
If you do not pass - don't worry! You may take this as many times as needed. You will need 7 or more questions correct in order to pass.
Once you are ready, click "Start Test".
Once you have completed the AML training and have saved your certificate, double check to make sure there are no red dots on the left hand side.
Now that you have completed all the tabs with a red dot, you will come to the "Requests" tab under the contracting section. Select this.
Proceed by selecting each carrier listed in the dropdown and complete each contracting request. If there are no carriers available to contract with, do not worry - your admin will put in a request for available carriers. You may proceed with the contracting steps.
Once all carriers have been selected and requests have been submitted, you may proceed to the next step.
After you have finished up in SureLC, you can log back into NLC (HERE)
To login, You will use the same login information as HCMS.
Complete all the required fields. Please note, you will need to add your AML training that we just completed under the training section.
Once all fields are completed, click the top left plus sign to create a new request.
You will submit a request for all carriers listed.
Once the requests are finished, double check to see that they appear as "submitted" under the requests tab. Once you have submitted both the SureLC contract(s) and the NLC contracts, you are all set!
The next step is to keep an eye on your email as your writing numbers come back over the next couple days!
If you encounter any rejected applications, please reach out to your admin to get this resolved.
